We want to acknowledge and apologise for launching our membership offering before clearly outlining what members would receive and what we are realistically able to deliver. While our intention was to build something valuable for the drift community, we recognise that we didn’t provide enough detail around the benefits, scope, or direction of the membership before making it available. We understand that people deserve clarity and confidence when supporting something, and we didn’t meet that standard. Before moving forward, we want to do this properly — and that means listening first.
Over the coming days we’ll be reaching out through our social media channels to ask for your input on what you’d actually like a membership to include. This will help us shape something that’s aligned with the community and sustainable for us to deliver. We’re particularly keen to understand where your interests sit, whether that’s: Competitions, Matsuris, Track days, Burnouts, Training days, or other drift-related opportunities. Once we’ve gathered feedback and defined a clear, realistic offering, we’ll share full details before reopening or progressing the membership.
Thank you for your patience, your honesty, and for holding us to account — we genuinely appreciate the support and want to make sure anything we offer is worth your time and money.

About
BOP Drift Park
BOP Drift Park is the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua’s only purpose-built concrete and asphalt motorsport facility, with a primary focus on drifting.
It will be New Zealand’s only dedicated multi-course drifting venue, designed to host national and international events while also supporting wider motorsport use.
The park aims to elevate the region’s motorsport profile, drive tourism, and create long-term economic value, all while respecting the natural environment and strengthening TECT Park as a leading multi-use destination.
A work in progress
Construction is well and truly on its way, with Stage One already in progress.

BOP Drift Park is situated inside TECT Park, where facilities include 4WD and rally tracks, motocross, off-road enduro motocross and a burnout pad.
There are also camping facilities with power and water.
